What is a French food subscription box?

A French food subscription box curates a selection of French gourmet and artisanal products and delivers them to your doorstep on a bi-monthly basis. These boxes allow you to explore and experience authentic French cuisine without having to travel to France.

What types of products can I expect in a French food subscription box?

You can expect a variety of French gourmet products in your subscription box, such as artisanal jams, honey, French sweets, regional cookies, or even recipe cards and cooking ingredients to prepare authentic French dishes at home.

Is everything really made in France?

Certainly! Every product is made in France.

Who makes the products that I can find in my box?

We work with a selection of small to medium-sized French artisans and brands who make all the amazing products that you can find in your box. We specifically work with French brands that have sourced their ingredients in an ethical manner. You can have a glimpse at some of our brand partners here.

Can I gift a French food subscription box?

Absolutely! We have two different options, either as a one-time box or a gift subscription plan:

Le surpris déjeuner (the one-time box), which is the best option for a quick and easy gift. This is a box that has been curated from a collection of our customer’s favourite products that featured in earlier boxes.

Le super déjeuner (the year’s worth of gourmet French food), which is great if you’re looking to give someone more than just one box. The super déjeuner gives you 12 months (6 boxes Bi-monthly) worth of gourmet French food.

We’ll ship it to the recipient on your behalf, and you can even write a personalized message for them —we’re here to help you make them feel special!

How much does a French food subscription box cost?

The cost varies depending on your box choice, as follows:

–  Le Petit déjeuner Box: USD 99 per box, shipped every 2 months

Le Super déjeuner Box: USD 535, 6 boxes are shipped every other month for a year worth of French gourmet food

Le Surpris déjeuner Box: USD 109, 1 gourmet box is shipped in 3 to 5 business days, including a surprise selection of products featured in previous boxes.

Good news! We handle all customs fees and taxes associated with your orders so you can enjoy a hassle-free and enchanting French experience delivered right to your doorstep! We charge a flat rate of $25 for shipping to European countries and $29 for shipping to the rest of the world.

I have allergies, are the products safe for me to eat?

Each box is slightly different as we use a mixture of artisans for each box to ensure a variety of products. Every box includes some key allergy facts on the ingredients within the product, and we always strive to include vegan and organic where possible. However, to be on the safe side, before placing your order, you can email us at bonjour@madalynetrose.com to ensure that the month you are ordering meets your dietary requirements. 

How do French food subscription boxes maintain the quality and freshness of their products?

We source French products directly from artisanal producers and suppliers in France, ensuring authenticity and quality.

When is the last day to place my order?

You have until the last day of the month to get your order in! (Check the countdown timer on the home page!) When time is up, we work around the clock to get your order to your door as soon as possible. Keep an eye on your emails to know where your gourmet treats are on their journey.

Can I pause/cancel my subscription?

Oh, la la, so you’ve decided that French isn’t the way to go? Just email us 48 hours before the shipping cut-off date for us to process your request. We will then either pause or cancel your order from the billing cycle.

Can I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds on products that have already been shipped because of the nature of our products. If you have any issues, then please email bonjour@madalynetrose.com, and we will try to resolve any issues you may have.
